Top 3 Common Senior Health Questions Answered

Community Health Seminar

We are proud to present a free community health seminar in collaboration with Garden Plaza at Lawrenceville on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018. Dr. Naveen Arora, an expert urologist specializing in OAB, urinary incontinence, kidney stone disease, and all aspects of urology surgery, will be educating seniors about the top three most common urological issues they face: Overactive Bladder / Incontinence, Enlarged Prostate, Urinary Tract Infection. From 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, you’ll get the chance to ask one of our medical experts your most embarrassing bladder questions while sipping on some complimentary refreshments. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

Experiencing difficult or uncomfortable urination is a common symptom of an Enlarged Prostate (BPH) or a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). 20 percent of men at age 40 will experience an enlarged prostate; 70 percent at age 60, and 90 percent at age 80. Risk of BPH increases with age due to the progressive nature of the condition. Studies show 50 percent of women will develop a UTI in their lifetime. Men, women and children can acquire UTIs, although women are the most susceptible. 25 percent of people over the age of 50 deal with overactive bladder (OAB) and incontinence issues. Common medications prescribed to treat symptoms of overactive bladder don’t provide complete relief and come with undesirable side effects.

Bladder health may be a difficult and embarrassing topic for some, but the purpose of Bladder Health Month is to raise public awareness and improve the lives of those dealing with these conditions. Stop “tolerating” your uncomfortable bladder symptoms and join us at the seminar!
